Low toner Override on Brother Toner Cartridge

As Robbo say The brother printer is using a system where its returning the residual print waste toner from the drum, to the toner supply hopper, via a charge brush which is in contact with the drum and charged differently during the clean cycle of the drum. The charged residual toner is transferred back to the developer roller and dropped back into the supply hopper.

And the reason lot of most brother cartridges, unlike most makes, do not have a waste toner hopper in the drum unit. When the toner is getting low, the electronics increase the charge on the developer roller to compensate for the mix of waste and good toner. This process continues until the maximum charge can no longer be accepted by the toner.

this results in the charge brush failing to operate properly and hence waste toner is not returned to the toner hopper, but remains on the drum. This causes the backgrounding which appears on the printed page. Even blocking the low toner sesor will not prevent this from happening. This is a brief description of a rather lengthy complicated process.

Panasonic DP 3030

Panasonic is a major manufacturer of printers and photocopiers, and the Panasonic DP-3030 is a relatively new addition to the company’s long list of products. It has Panasonic’s “Departmental-Class” Digital Systems technology and the Panasonic DP-3030 offers printing, copying, scanning and faxing facility all combined into one chassis.

The DP-3030 offers high level WORKiO models that offer around 30 pages per minute with the first-copy time of 4.5 seconds. It has a 600 x 600 dpi resolution and 256-level grayscale that enhances the quality of each copy unlike other copiers that offer better results with the initial copies and deteriorate in the subsequent copying jobs. It has ultra fine toner cartridges and carrier particles that are 20% smaller and thus offer better image quality. Concurrent Copy is a unique feature of Panasonic’s DP-3030 that enables the printer to handle up to 12 prints and copy jobs at a time. An ethernet interface is available for the copier as well. The standard paper holder can accommodate 500 sheets along with 50 in the automatic paper loader.

The print function of Panasonic DP-3030 is equally great. It can easily handle 30 pages per minute and offers the standard 600 x 600 dpi resolution with 256-level grayscale. Image enhancement technology can enhance the image to 1200 dpi thus making the print job stand out and making images and graphics crisper and clearer. The printer provides genuine Adobe(R), PCL5e/6 and PostScript 3(R) as an integrated capability and the built-in automatic duplex unit quickens up the printing speed. PC suite enables users to employ printing features of the Panasonic DP-3030 in an improved manner. They can view the queue and manage and prioritize printing jobs by using different features of the software.

Network scanning facility is available on the Panasonic DP-3030 with a complete support of TIFF, JPEG and PDF formats. Network connectivity features enable quick scanning of all documents besides the scan-to-folder, scan-to-email and scan-to-FTP formats. A document management system is built in and offers a one-stop management solution of printing, copying, faxing and scanning jobs.

Fax features employ a 33.6 kbps modem with a speed of three seconds per page and the Super G3 faxing option. Duplex faxing is also available along with paperless faxing that sends image files email attachments which can be opened and displayed on the image viewer. Panasonic DP-3030 is ideal for medium level offices as it provides a good printing speed and higher quality image processing. Even larger companies can easily use Panasonic DP-3030 as a primary or secondary image processing machine.

HP LaserJet 1300

The HP LaserJet 1300 is the replacement for the inimitable LaserJet 1200 which was the stalwart of previous years, and many reviewers and users favorite. The 1300 still retains much of the character of the older model, such as the sloping front, USB only, no USB or parallel cable, but does it improve on its predecessor?

At first glance, the LaserJet 1300 looks cheap and flimsy. The paper tray at the front doesnt look very sturdy, the construction doesnt look as solid as some of the other series of printers and it doesnt come with any cables to connect it up.

The exterior does not relate to the strength of the printer though. The print engine is strong, the processor and memory are quite capable of providing fast, quality printing that would suit almost any use. Photographs can be a little vague, but the grayscale is good, and they are easily understandable. Text is the real strength of any laser, as well as the strength of the LaserJet 1300. Edges are exact, coverage is even and black, edges are sharp. Even the smallest points are clear, unblurred and look perfectly good enough for business use.

While this printer is USB only in its basic form, it is expandable to be wireless with the purchase of a wireless card. The only downside to that is that it costs half the price of the printer. If you can overcome that, its a great way to free yourself from wires and share the printer between machines.

The LaserJet 1300 uses HPs instant on fuser technology which uses smaller toner particles that take much less warming up than traditional toner. This also apparently allows the printer to lay the toner down more accurately, which might explain why the print quality is so good.

The initial setting up is simple. Once unpacked, there is a poster-type instruction sheet that makes it about as easy as it is possible to be to get up and running. USB is about as easy as it can be for Windows users, as it takes care of everything itself. The driver package also installs everything itself and it all just, works.

Dont be fooled by the first impressions of the LaserJet 1300. It might not look like much but its every bit as capable as anything else out there at the price.
